While you're visiting our store in Chambersburg...
South Central Pennsylvania is not only home to Boswell’s Pipe & Tobacco, but also boasts many places of interest.  This section of the state is rich in history, culture, and charm. We thought it would be nice to point out some of our area favorites!

Chambersburg
Looking for a good place to eat? Chambersburg offers the usual chain restaurants (Applebees, Red Robin, TGI Fridays, Hoss’s, Red Lobster, Ruby Tuesdays).  But if you’re looking for something with some local flavor, we recommend:
  1. Pat & Carla’s – great standard Italian food.  They have a bunch of area locations, but we like the one at the corner of Rt. 30 and Sixth Street- it’s so close we can pretty much shout over the order!
  2. Montezuma’s- Authentic Mexican food, 2 Chambersburg locations.
  3. 7-P’s- casual atmosphere, really nice salads and sandwiches.  Corner of 4th & Catherine St – a few blocks from our store.
  4. Copper Kettle- local steak house & bar. Between our store & I-81 on Rt.30.
  5. Dilly’s – sports bar with a really nice outside deck for smoking. Located on rt.30 – about 5 minutes from our store.
  6. Olympia Ice Cream Parlor- the cutest little old-fashioned ice cream parlor!  Located on Main Street, right off the town square (it’s a circle!!!).

Hotels in Chambersburg
-Travelodge- Nothing fancy, but you can’t beat the price and proximity to our store (across the street!).
- Also close to our store – Four Points Sheraton, Best Western, Days Inn.

Other local favorites...
  1. The Butcher Shoppe - Stouffer Avenue- This family owned specialty grocery store is an area favorite.  Try the checkerboard cheese, peanut butter cookies, clam balls, and baked corn!
  2. Benders Potato Farm – Seasonal local produce, plants & flowers. Awesome potatoes, and animals for the kids to visit! Right off rt. 30 & I-81.
  3. Olympia Candy Kitchen – 43 South Main Street – Gorgeous store, great selection of candy & confections.
  4. Route 5 gifts – Wayne Avenue
  5. Look on the Chambersburg Chamber of Commerce website - they’ve got it all!
  6. Roy Pitz Brewing Company - www.roypitz.com
