How do I purchase one of your handmade pipes?

Our pipes may be purchased on our web site.  Please click on the “Pipes For Sale” link, and check out our current inventory.  We try to offer a large selection of pipes, from one-of-kind freehands to Jumbo’s and Churchwardens.

If I see a pipe that I like on the “Pipes For Sale” page, should I order it right away?

Yes!!! Most of the pipes sell within a few hours (sometimes even minutes!) of being uploaded onto our website.   Please call the store at (717) 264-1711 and talk to Dan or J.M. about the pipe you’d like to purchase.  We try to update our “Pipes For Sale” page weekly.

Will Boswell make me a pipe like one in the “Pipe Gallery”?

If for some reason you don’t see the pipe of your dreams on our “Pipes For Sale” page, we may have a pipe that suits your needs in our store.   J.M. may be able to make a special order pipe for you.  Special orders may take quite a bit of time; and due to variations in the grain, size, and direction of each briar block, we can’t make an exact replica.   Special orders can not be accommodated during certain times of the year.

How long will it take for my favorite pipe or tobacco to arrive?

We ship orders out promptly upon ordering.  Please call us before 1pm EST, otherwise, your order will go out the next business day. To place an order, we accept Visa, Master Card and Discover. Please contact us at 717-264- 1711   J.M, Gail or Dan will take your order

How do you ship?

Our shipping information can be located on our shipping page

I love my new green Boswell freehand.  It smokes great, but some of the color rubs off onto my hand.  Is this normal?

This is actually pretty normal behavior for a lot of blue, green and red colors.  The stain pigments will bleed a bit during the first few smokes as the pipe is heated.  It isn't something to worry about.

What kind of briar is used to create a Boswell pipe?

Boswell pipes are made from the finest Mediterranean briar wood.  JM has been a reputable dealer and importer of briar wood for over 30 years.

The stem broke on my favorite pipe.  Can you fix it?

Yes.  We have been performing pipe repairs for both individuals and other tobacco stores for over 30 years.  You can trust that we will repair and help maintain your pipe, regardless of the year, make, or model!  (See “Pipe Repair” page under “Pipes” for more info)
